Morphamish
techno/dubtronica/experimental
Morphamish has been blasting his mild altering music out of sound systems since 1998. Under the names Morph, Sola Perplexus, and latterly as the producer in the group Double Helix, this music has spanned techno, electro, breaks, hiphop, dnb, hardtek and dubstep. He's now settled on the name Morphamish for all his projects.

As well as holding residencies at Pillbox and Obscene, and guesting at numerous events such as Dogma, UTI, Substance, Curios, Pedigree Skum, Tronic, Dissident, React, Super Scientists, Confusion and Jakn, he has supported the likes of Neil Landstrumm, Dave Tarrida, Daniel Benavente, Mark Hawkins, Ray Keith and Boxcutter. He has previous releases on Crystal Distortion’s Labrat Audiochemicals, Crunk’s Not Dead, Intonations, and his own Audiodacity label. He’s enjoyed support from Mary Ann Hobbes, Rob Da Bank, Huw Stevens, One World, Vic Galloway, Sub FM, Warren Ellis and been included on the Radio 1 Best of Unsigned Podcast.

Morphamish returned to live performance this year with a vengeance, and has been unleashing mutating rump-shaking live sets up and down the country. Lately he intertwines fresh energetic dubstep and breakbeat with bass-line heavy fat techno and electro. Plus you never know, you may get the odd smattering of jungle, hardtek or some anything goes madness. The new name he has adopted reflects a return to the spirit of the dance-floor satisfying Morph sound, but with a new expressive bass hungry party time twist.

.

Morph's live shows entail enormous big budget scenery, a myriad of costume changes, stunning synchronised dance moves, hula girls, stage hypnosis, speaking in tongues, human sacrifice and Bugsy Malone style pie fights. Despite all this he's made a racket at numerous dens of iniquity, including Dogma, JakN, React, Apex, Consensus, UTI, Confusion, Super Scientists. He's shared the bill with Neil Landstrumm, Daniel Benavente, Michael Forshaw, Ray Keith, Mark Hawkins, Chris Liberator, Dave Tarrida, Justin Berkovi, Nicky Blackmarket and Adam X.

When the pixies call and the glades a-glisten and its not totally feckin freezing (but sometimes when it is), he plays free parties with the Diverse Frequencies and Pedigree Skum sound systems.
