Lusine
Lusine is the brainchild of Jeff McIlwain, and is the moniker for his
visceral, melodic vision of abstract electronic music.
In 1998, he attended Calarts to study 20th century electronic music and
sound design for music and film. He has since recorded for labels such
as Hymen, Ghostly, Isophlux, U-Cover, Mute and !K7.
Famous Lusine
releases since 2000 are 'Push', 'Iron City', and the 'Inside/Out' EP,
as well as the stunning and widely-acclaimed 'Serial Hodgepodge' album
from 2004. He just finished a remix CD album + 12" titled 'Podgelism',
featuring reworks by John Tejada, Apparat and Robag Wrhume amongst others,
and has done many remixes for artists such as Alex Under, Alex Smoke,
Jeff Samuel and Deru. Lusine is one of the foremost American producers
in the abstract field and an artist with a boundless future in his craft!
