Gavin Hislop AKA Babyshaker has been producing his own brand of Drill
n Bass / Breakcore / IDM material since 2004.
Using
a vast array of different pieces of hardware & software, including
a number of home made algorithms inside Reaktor, Babyshaker's music
is both fast & complex, both rhythmically & melodically.
Babyshaker currently resides in Edinburgh, plays shows regularly
& has tracks on various compilation albums of different labels
- Fanny's Remix Album, Deathpop, Ruudbox, OxO-Unlimited, Rancorous
Records & Tronic.
His music is a complex & chaotic blend of jungle, hardcore,
drill n bass IDM & breakcore (whatever that means), & his
live shows are a combination of live mixing, mashup, live FX manipulation,
slick mangling of original music & large amounts of audience
abuse.
In recent months he has appeared at the Oslo Breaks Fest, Freak Scene
Electronic Sessions, The Shape of Breakcore to Cum, Norberg Festival,
Audacious and Breakcore
Extravaganza.
